LaWanda Martin    

As the owner and founder of Engedi Therapy Services (ETS), Lawanda Martin, has worked in Human Services for over 20 years in various aspects on counseling. Graduating from Texas A&M University Central with a Masters in Science, Counseling Psychology with a minor in Marriage & Family Therapy and Substance Abuse Treatment.  Currently licensed in Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor(LMHC), Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) and a National certification - Alcohol & Other Drugs Counselor (ADC).  I hold a Virginia license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) certification for substance abuse for the Department of Transportation.

   I enjoy working with patients from adolescence to geriatrics and has done extensive work focusing on treating depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorders, acute stress, organic mental illness and substance use disorders, Lawanda has a long history with providing counseling, assessments, pre and post deployment trainings/briefings and social services to military members and their families.

   I also spent time working with community behavioral health agencies, providing counseling and assessments to clients with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and Serious Emotional Disturbances (SED) on an outpatient and inpatient basis and has supervised case managers, license eligible in counseling, and others including licensed individuals.

    I love my work and greatly value the opportunities each day brings to help my clients achieve the best health and quality of life possible.

Yolanda Wilson

Yolanda has worked as a Licensed Professional Therapist (LPC) for 9 years. I have engaged in human services for the past 14 years. Graduating from Bowie State University with a Masters in Science, Counseling Psychology. Currently licensed in Virginia as well as Texas,while also being Nationally Certified (NBCC). I have worked closely with the military community as a Military family and Life Counselor. 

 

I enjoy working with patients of all realms of the spectrum. I have worked with acute stress, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD),  marriage and family counseling, various aspects of mental illness, anxiety, depression, as well as substance abuse with both children and adults. I have provided counseling, social services, and post deployment training to military members and their families. 

 

I have spent time working with community  behavioral agencies across VA and Tx. I have provided counseling services to include various assessment to clients with Serious Emotional Disturbances that may or may not have been identified. 

 

I have a strong love for helping others. I try to be that person that will help my clients see that there is a brighter day. I want to help them achieve a sense of hope. I want them to learn that  they don't have to walk through the storm alone.
